E-quipment BV was founded in 2009 by Jan Peters. After a long career in the software corner, with a focus on antivirus, he made the move to a business in security. Thinking along about and demonstrating a security solution gave him energy.

A business friend introduced him to iStorage, based in London. iStorage initially focused exclusively on a hard drive with a keyboard, the content of which could be accessed with a PIN code. Soon, the datAshur was added, a USB stick that offered protection to the stored data using the same methodology. This solution was enthusiastically received within Peters' network. The police and a leading accountancy firm quickly showed interest. Both organisations started an acceptance process that was successfully completed. Since then, these products have been used as standard. As a result, E-quipment has acquired a place in the security market and more and more customers are finding us.

Our portfolio

E-quipment now attends various security fairs annually, including Infosecurity and the NATO Information Assurance Symposium (NIAS). In addition, they are regularly present at Defense meetings through their membership of the NIDV (Netherlands Industry for Defense and Security).
The portfolio now includes the entire iStorage program. All products can be delivered from stock. This currently consists of various USB encryption solutions. Secured USB sticks are available in no fewer than six versions: from modest storage capacities of 4 GB to a giant with a storage capacity of 512 GB. These are all operating system independent. In addition, we supply external portable hard drives (also SSD) with integrated USB cable and also operating system independent. The capacity ranges from 128 GB to 16 TB.

Accreditations

There are guidelines for deployability for supplying various governments. That is why some of the products are provided with accreditations. These are carried out by the NBV and enable governments to use these products from a standard list, without compromising safety.

Cloud storage

Cloud usage has become an indispensable part of society, partly thanks to the marketing injections, despite the risks that have been demonstrated. After all, your data is only stored in a different location and on a different computer with possible risky consequences. With our cloudAshur platform, the risks of storage with third parties are a thing of the past, because you encrypt the data yourself. The optional Remote Management Console manages the platform and enables collaboration between colleagues. You use your current cloud provider.
