Write-protected USB sticks

A physical write-protect switch on Kanguru flash drives provides quick and easy protection against accidental overwriting or deletion of files. It also acts as an additional defense mechanism against viruses on an infected host computer.

A physical write-protect switch on USB and NVMe devices can serve two important purposes:

  1. protecting the data on the drive, and
  2. protecting the drive from malware and other threats.

Unlike other manufacturers, who may offer software write protection, Kanguru has a convenient hardware switch directly on the drive enclosure. This allows the user to easily toggle between "read/write" or "read only" mode before connecting the drive.

A physical write protection switch makes it very easy to switch to “Read Only” mode, which provides a major advantage over software write protection that may require formatting or additional management tools.
