Meticulously designed for enhanced portability and security, the diskAshur DT3 incorporates all the essential features of other iStorage products, such as PIN protection and hardware encryption, along with a host of innovative technological enhancements.
Using the device is effortlessly simple: simply plug it into the host’s USB port (USB Type-A and Type-C cables included) and enter the user-configured 8-64 digit PIN. Upon entering the correct PIN, all data on the drive will be decrypted and accessible. To lock the drive, simply remove it from the host and all data will be encrypted.
Available in capacities up to 24TB, the TAA-compliant drive redefines the standard for securing data with ease and confidence.

Enhanced encryption and physical security
The diskAshur DT3 provides real-time Full Disk data protection by implementing a military-grade FIPS PUB 197 validated AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption algorithm. This comprehensive approach provides strong protection against unauthorized access.
The diskAshur DT3 is designed to provide tamper-resistant security. Access to components requires physically breaking the enclosure, which is a clear indication of tampering attempts. Additionally, all internal components are protected with a layer of durable epoxy resin, which enhances protection against physical attacks.
Advanced firmware protection
The firmware of the iStorage diskAshur DT3 is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliant. In addition, the drive features a secure microprocessor certified to Common Criteria EAL5+, along with a unique flash lock mechanism, which protects against potential firmware attacks on the microprocessor.
It also provides robust protection against BadUSB attacks via an innovative secure USB controller firmware protection mechanism. This ensures the authentication of the USB controller firmware prior to any unlock attempt, further strengthening the security measures.

Tamper-proof and tamper-evident design
The diskAshur DT3 is designed to provide tamper-resistant security. Access to the components requires physically breaking the enclosure, which is a clear indication of tampering attempts. Additionally, every component of the drive is encased in a layer of extremely durable epoxy resin, making it virtually impossible to remove without causing irreparable damage to the components.
Brute force hack defense mechanism
The diskAshur DT3 protects against brute force attacks. If the User PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, it will be deleted. Data will remain on the device but can only be accessed with the Admin PIN. If the Admin PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, all data will be lost forever. The device will need to be reconfigured before it can be used again.
Independent User, Administrator and One-Time Recovery PINs
The diskAshur DT3 can be configured with three independent PINs: User, Administrator & One-Time Restore, providing flexibility without compromising security.
No preset PIN
The diskAshur DT3 is not shipped with a pre-set Administrator PIN. An 8-64 digit Administrator PIN must be configured before the drive can be used.
Self-destructing PIN
Upon entry, the encrypted encryption key and all PINs will be deleted and all data will be lost forever.
Illuminated keys
Can be switched on/off, making the keys visible in low light.
Wear-resistant epoxy-coated keys
Hides key usage to prevent a potential hacker from knowing about frequently used keys.
Startup function
Install any operating system on the diskAshur DT3 and boot directly from it.
Automatic locking when absent
Can be set to automatically lock when the device is inactive for a predetermined period of time.
Read Only (Write Protect) - Dual Mode
Restricts write access to the disk, making it impossible to modify the stored data.
