Cryptochip
CloudAshur offers a Cryptochip with the device that works 100 percent real-time. It has military grade AES-XTS or AES-ECB 256-bit hardware encryption with FIPS PUB 197 certified USB 3.0 encryption controller. This means that the chip is equipped with high quality encryption, which means that the data is stored at a high level of security, also because a bit key is required to gain access.

EAL4+ ready secured microprocessor
This microprocessor offers the ultimate protection against hackers. Thanks to special hardware, the processor detects and responds to SPA / DPA / SEMA - and DEMA attacks. These are, for example, attacks that steal data and for which you must take action according to the Data Protection Act. It also offers advanced protection against physical attacks, including Active Shield, Enhanced Protection Object, CStack checker, Slope Detector and parity errors.

Five factor authentication
Only after agreeing on five different points, the Module can be used: inserting the cloudAshur hardware security module, entering the 7-15 digit PIN code, entering the username and password of the iStorage cloudAshur client app, the location of the data (the cloud provider) and the username and password of the cloud account.

Brute force anti-hack defense mechanism
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly ten times (less is also adjustable), it will be deleted and the user will no longer be able to access it. Only the admin PIN code can be used to gain access and set a new user PIN code. This prevents an old PIN code from being used and ex-employees will no longer be able to log in.

The essential parts of the cloudAshur casing have a layer of epoxy resin. This is rock hard and almost impossible to remove without permanently damaging the parts. If someone tries to break in physically, there will be clear signs of damage.

Record the user PIN code
When it comes to the user PIN, the administrator can implement a policy of restrictions. For example, he or she can choose to require a minimum PIN length or make special characters in a PIN mandatory.

One-time recovery PIN
If a user has forgotten their PIN code, the administrator can use cloudAshur to provide a one-time recovery PIN code. This allows the user to access their documents once with the PIN code, but a new PIN code must be set for further use.

Whitelisting on networks
The cloudAshur Encryption Module USB drive is designed with a unique VID/PID and internal/external serial number with barcode. This allows for easy integration with common endpoint management software, such as whitelisting. This allows users and the administrator to meet internal corporate requirements.
